Sabrinas talk at the UTM TedX event was nothing short of incredible – my favourite at the event by far. It had everything I want in a ted talk – it was educational, engaging, and left me with lots to think about (with humour as a bonus!). I come from a south asian background where sex was never on the table as a topic of discussion. I never really got any sex education (just learned about the mechanics of sex in a grade 7 biology class), and had never been in such an open space created to talk and laugh about sex, and get curious. I think spaces like this are so so necessary! I approached her after the talk to ask some questions and we had a wonderful conversation. I am an absolute fan since then! (aka an intrusive thot ;)).
